Meridian Valley Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Kent, Washington.

Meridian Valley Country Club first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by Ted Robinson.

The course plays to a par-72 and 6,707 yards from the Blue tees.

The LPGA called Meridian Valley home for its SAFECO Classic for 18 years, from 1982-99, bringing the top women’s players in the world to Kent for one week each year. Much of the course travels up or down the low hills that surround it, making accurate club selection a key to putting your ball on the green. And those holes that manage to play across level ground are often bracketed by tall evergreens and Soos Creek which bisects the course..

#2, 340 yard from the White tees, but with a steep upward slope makes the pin appear to be 500 yards away. Bunkers wait to catch anything short, so adding at least two clubs is advised. 

#5, 373 yards from the Whites and 426 yards from the Blues par-4, is the signature hole.. Off the tee, golfers must avoid anoak tree that blocks the entire left side of the fairway about 150 yards from the tee box and Soos Creek cuts off the fairway from the front of the steeply pitched green, meaning any approach left short is likely to end up wet, either on the fly, or after hitting the slope beyond and rolling back down into the hazard. While the pros play for the back of the green, counting on the steep back-to-front slope to bring their ball back below the hole, many members and amateurs choose to lay up short of the hazard and try for an up-and-down par, or at worst a two-putt bogey.

#18 is a par-5 offering a relatively open tee shot, but should your ball stray too far from the center of the fairway, your second shot may well be blocked by trees that squeeze the fairway about 200 yards from a green that protrudes out into a small, scenic pond.
